East Grinstead Florist in UK Top 50
- Zara Flora ranked ahead of 99% of florists by leading national magazine -
Zara Flora of Ship Street, East Grinstead, has been named among the UK’s top 50 florists by leading national magazine Wedding Flowers.
Three designs by Zara Flora were given full page features in the Spring edition of Wedding Flowers and two designs appear in the current Summer edition, which also contains the magazine’s guide to the country’s top 50 florists, identified by region. Zara Flora is the sole representative for Sussex. The list includes well known figures within the industry such as celebrity florist and author, Paula Pryke.
There are around 7,500 retail florists in the UK currently, putting Zara Flora in the top 1% nationally according to the Wedding Flowers assessment.
Principal florist and designer for Zara Flora is Zara Dalrymple, who co-owns the business with husband Paul. Their East Grinstead store, opposite the Ship Inn, Ship Street, opened in April 2004 and attracts customers from a wide area around the town, with telephone and internet clients placing orders from right across the globe (although they have not yet had an order from Antarctica).
Zara herself expressed delight at the recognition from Wedding Flowers, saying “It is an honour to have our designs published in successive editions of such a prestigious magazine, and to be ranked among the top 50 florists nationally is the icing on the cake”
Zara Flora provides the flowers for around 100 weddings a year, at ceremonies and receptions across West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey and Kent, and is the recommended wedding florist for top venues such as the Alexander House Hotel and Langshott Manor.
Zara Flora is a member of the Flowers and Plants Association, which is the leading UK organisation for cut flowers and indoor plants. Information and guidance is offered freely via the organisation’s website at www.flowers.org.uk
